Here is hoping that you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend. Ours was nice! Very quiet - DH made his 'rounds' of jobsites, we went to the cemetery and put out our flags and flowers, and then he and I threw a pork steak on the grill.
~~~~~~~~
Rosie the Wonder-grandaughter-doggie, escaped from the house while we were watering, and nearly gave us heart attacks. She is most certainly a LEASH dog, and was not on hers! She was half a county away before we even saw her sneak out! Got her back very quickly, and she sure is sleepy after all that exercise! Grandpa went after her, but I was the smarter one -
I just enticed her to the back door!
What an adventure for her (she was SO proud of herself) and a scare for us :)
I have a card today for a challenge at the Stampendous blog. This is Challenge #38, and is a sketch challenge, hosted by Geny Cassady. I used the 'Narcissus' set from Stampendous. Narcissus' were one of my dear mom's favorite flowers - oh how she loved Narcissus and Clematis! If she were still with us, this card would be on it's way across town to her!
All coloring is done with Copics, Ink is Memento Tuxedo Black, CS is Bazzill, and the white CS is PaperTrey Ink. Butterflies are punched with Martha Stewart Punch, and the butterfly DP is a Gina K. Designs Free Digi Paper.
I think I will enter this at the 1st challenge at The Craft Room as well! The theme is anything goes, and this is anything!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs and smiles...
Food for thought: Worry is like golf stokes - those that have the least are the winners!
ReplyDeleteRosie went on an adventure! LOL! Yep, they give you failure sometimes! Mine saw her doogie friend in the lake a few weeks ago, bolted right through her electric fence, and dove in! She has not swan since she was a pup, and her legs were going in all directions. Mind you, the lake is 18' deep in the center and my hubby was emptying his pockets for rescue duty until she got paddling down. Phew. They can be devils in disguise! Anyhow, love your beautiful card, and glad Rosie is safe.
ReplyDeleteSo glad nothing happened to Rosie, Bandit too is a leash dog, we had compnay Sat. and Bill's sister let him out the back door, no leash, my heart stopped until I got to him.....hehe, I love the card, gorgeous image and your coloring rocks!!!! Have a good one!
blessings to you, Dawn ll
Patti this is gorgeous!!! Your coloring is wonderful. I am so happy that you were able to get Rosie back. We have a beagle and she likes to follow her nose and that often gets her into a bit of trouble and has caused us to have to track her down many times after she has wondered off. Luckily we live on a fairly secluded street and can usually find her in the neighbors flowers.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, wonderful colors.
What a glorious card, Patti! Such a creative way to use the sketch, and the narcissus is just gorgeous with all those fun gold butterflies! I'm sure your mother would have cherished this card, and I'm so thankful you have wonderful memories of her to sit and craft by. Sounds like you had quite the adventure with little Rosie -- LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adventure Rosie, I bet you slept like a baby after that walk about xx
ReplyDeleteLove your card Patti, what a great layout.. Love it. Hope you are well. Huge Hugs Mau xx
So pretty Patti. I love the vibrant purple color! Great job coloring too! TFS!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love the layout and how you "blocked" it. Not sure what to call it. I love that is is purple as well. I went to the scrapbook store a couple of days ago with DD and again, I could find purple dp. Purple is a very neglected color in the dp / cardmaking world. So I'm am trying to use more purple and yellow lately. So glad to see you have used it!
ReplyDeleteOh, and that photo is ADORABLE!! I was just grinning from ear to ear reading about the grand pup! too cute. Well I have a little excitement of my own. Maybe I should share on my blog, hmmmm. One of the cats drug in snake #4 last night. He was a little bigger than the others. It's gettin' a little creepy. I need to so some research and see if there is something I can put in the yard to keep them out. Have a blessed day sweets!
ReplyDeleteYour dog is adorable, precious I am sure, and mischievous too by the looks of it. LOLOL
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! Love how you chose to panel the image and the butterflies are the perfect embellishments too!
