Christmas Cards

Yesterday, my DF Shirley and I road tripped to Chesterfield Plaza, where we each created four lovely Christmas Cards at Archiver's. After crafting, we split a wonderful salad and a wonderful pasta at California Pizza Kitchen, and headed down the highway to Hobby Lobby...
Here are my cards, along with a short description of what we liked about each.

This first card is on a pretty gold cardstock. It's not a shiny gold, but more of a matte finish sparkly gold. We stamped the sentiment and image on Whte Arctic Snow Metallic CS with Versamark Frost, Sprinkled with Gold Zing EP, and then heat embossed. Next was to take a glue pen, and in small sections, we colored the dove and sprinkled a fine fairy dust glitter on it. The cards that we made at Archiver's actually had a small red poinsettia where the bow is on my card, but my poinsettia met with an unfortunate glue accident, and stayed on the scrap paper at Archiver's!!!

We especially liked the White Arctic Snow Metallic CS on this one!!!

All righty...Card number two (shown above), was again, made on the beautiful white CS. The Red CS was another pretty metallic paper. It is very self explanatory. What we oohed and aahed over on this card was the use of silver AND gold embossing powders! Now we didn't WE ever think of that???

Christmas Memories has some stamping on the green base with Versamark, and again features the double embossing. The red discs are actually just red CS circles, but the photo makes them look like really cool buttons! lol!

Card Number Four (shown above), was made using all of the same supplies and gold embossing. The fun part of this card was using green Glimmer Mist on the tree. Again, why didn't we think of this??? Did you know that you can spray a little glimmer mist into a plastic cup or something and PAINT with it? Yup! And to change from the Green mist to the Red mist (shown on the pot at the base of the tree), all you need do is swish your brush in another cup of water, dab it on a paper towel, and voila! Color change!
The cards were very quickly made, the class was reasonably priced, and we came out with a couple of very cute and easy ideas.
Since they ALL include embossing, I am going to enter them at Crafty Creations challenge this week!
It was a good day!
Happy Saturday everyone!
Big hugs to all...
