Hello creative friends!

I am sharing two fun cards today over on the Technique Junkies blog

This first card features 2 new stamps, Coffee Girl, and Jet Fuel.

The sentiment was stamped with a pretty ink onto a white cardstock panel. Next, the image was stamped, using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The image was colored with copic markers, and a bit of stenciling was done using a Grunge Dots stencil by A Colorful Life Designs. A strip of Washi Tape was added below the image, and the focal panel was adhered to a coral colored card base.

After I looked at it a while, I decided this Coffee Girl was in need of some sass, so I applied Glossy Accents to her sunglasses!

Next up, is a fun card that features Sassy Pants from the March release, and an older stamp Drinkin' and Thinkin'.  It's been a pretty rough month here, and there were 2 or 3 days that I totally looked just like this gal! And believe me, my pants were sassy! Lol....

I used a dark gray ink to stamp and stencil on this gray card front. The stencil is Messy Diamond Grid from A Colorful Life Designs.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I have had a great time designing with the talented Technique Junkies' Team! Thanks so much to them all for making me feel welcome! Hope to be back again soon...

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Happy Sunday!

I am sharing two fun cards today on the Technique Junkies blog

The first day of spring is tomorrow! So ya'll know how much I loved working with this great new background stamp All About Spring.  Here is my first card:

To create this card, I used my Misti, so that each time I stamped, the placement was accurate. I began with the top section. I masked off the lower section of the stamp, and inked up the upper section with pink ink. I removed the mask, and made my first stamp. The next section was done the same way, except for masking off the upper and lower sections, and stamping only the 3 green lines. This process was repeated for the lower section. The word 'Spring' was stamped onto a piece of cardstock, trimmed closely, matted with a matching orange border & popped up using dimensional foam. Note: I did re-stamp a flower in yellow, and pop it up over top of the green stamped flower.

Here is my next card:

To create this card, I grabbed up a Kraft card base, and a focal panel piece, also in Kraft. Using the beautiful new Pretty Line Florals background stamp, I stamped the background with Versamark ink, so it is a pretty, soft, tone on tone.  Next, using Catherine Pooler's Midnight Ink, I stamped the gorgeous new sentiment No Greater Love. The focal panel was matted with a black panel, and adhered to the card base. Quick and easy!

Thanks for stopping by today!

March 16, 2023

Hi friends!

I am sharing two fun cards today over on the Technique Junkies blog

So, I can certainly relate to BOTH of these cards!  The older I get, the more I pray for patience with people. Lol...they probably pray for patience with me, too! Anyway, this fun new stamp is called The Senility Prayer, and it was fun to create with.

 Here we go:

The image and sentiment are a single stamp, so this was stamped onto white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The image was then colored using copic markers. I matted it onto some blue cardstock, then onto a navy blue card base. She needed a bit of definition, so her glasses got some glossy accents, which you can see better in the photo below.  I felt the card was too blah, but didn't have any stencils that 'fit' this stamp, so I grabbed my markers and 'dotted' a background. Easy card, and a fun one to send to a friend or family member!

On to card #2:

This one is pretty self-explanatory! Some fun patterned papers, a few pop dots, and some pretty inks were used on this fun new stamp In the Craft Room. This one just makes me happy, and I know that those of you with craft rooms 'get it'! I love my craft room - it's my happy place!

Thanks for stopping by today!

March 10, 2023

 Hi all!

Today is a catch-up day. So many times, I lay things aside, and they don't get posted here. Sorry for the photo overload!

Here are some things I've created, and want to share:

These boxes were fromone of  Stampin Up's Paper Pumpkin kits. The kit made 16 boxes. I actually have several in a little shop downtown. The patterned papers and sentiments were all different. I put an easel card type of top on mine. This shot shows the box closed up.

Here is the opened box. As you can see, I could have used either the green or the coral color for the box, just depending on how I chose to fold it!  I put 2 Hershey chocolate miniature bars in each box, and laid the gift card on top for someone to either attach a real gift card to, or to write a note on.

This is a terrible photo - couldn't get it right the day I took it, but this is a swap that 9 of us took part in. Every couple of months, we do a new panel, and this was our Christmas panel. Sorry to make your eyes cross! My square was the little car with the tree on the roof.

Birthday card for our daughter...

Daughter and granddaughter play the Ukelele, so couldn't pass up a chance to create a fun card for them.

A friend, Lisa Stiehr, who sells Close to My Heart products, had us in one morning to make a card and small scrapbook page. Here's the card...

And here's the page!

Borrowed these stamps from Shirley, my bestie, to create these cute favors to stick into the grandkids Valentine's boxes.

That's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Hugs,
Patti J.

March 5, 2023

Hope your week is off to a good start!

I am sharing two fun Technique Junkies 'beverage' cards today on the Technique Junkies blog

Here is my first card. This was created using the 'Now I Wait' stamp from the March Technique Junkies release, and 'It Takes a Village' stamp from the January 2021 release.

To make this card, I first stamped 'Now I Wait' in a cranberry colored ink on a white card base.
Next, I masked off the sentiment of the 'It Takes a Village' stamp, and stamped only the bottle and glass in the cranberry ink. A little bit of coloring with some Copic markers, then the image was fussy cut, and covered with glossy accents, to resemble glass.

This better shows the effect of the glossy accents on the bottle and wineglass...

Next up, is a fun card made with some old and new stamps.
I started by stamping 'Coffee Stain' from the November, 2020 release onto the patterned paper. I die cut this panel with some stitched rectangle dies - I inked the outside edge, and inlaid the patterned paper panel, and adhered them to a card base. The 'Coffee to Go' (coffee cup) and 'You Call it Coffee' (sentiment) were stamped onto some caramel colored cardstock using brown ink  The coffee cup was stamped again onto two different pieces of patterned papers. Using the patterned paper, I fussy cut the pieces, and glued them over top of the 1st coffee cup. The cup was popped up onto the card by using dimensional foam. The sentiment was created the same way as the coffee stain panel, using the stitched rectangle dies.

Technique Junkies' - March 2023 Release and Blog Hop

Hello there!

It's March already, how did that happen so quickly?
I was asked to guest design again this month for Technique Junkies
I so love the release this month, and can't wait to share some cards with you!

Welcome to the March 2023 New Release blog hop!

You can purchase the 'Gotta Have it All' deal for only $82.02 - That's a huge savings! You can also take 15% off of any March stamps through March 8th. No coupon or code needed - discount will automatically be applied.

I really wanted to share the new sentiment set today, Peace and Comfort. It seems I always need a sympathy card these days, so this set was perfect for my card needs.
Here is the first card:

I paired the beautiful sentiment, and another new release floral stamp, Contemporary Vine Floral for this card. The vine was stamped on a piece of blue cardstock twice, in an L-shape, using blue ink (almost a tone on tone color). I then trimmed the panel on the 2 sides, and fussy cut the vine. This was adhered to the card base. The sentiment was also stamped in blue. The photo didn't capture this well, but the sentiment says "Know that I am thinking of you every day. You have my prayers and best wishes and are forever in my mind". After stamping this beautiful sentiment with the same blue ink, I die cut it and popped it up with some dimensional foam on a larger die cut that I ink blended to match the stamped words and vines.

and here is the next card:

This one uses the same sentiment stamps. I LOVED the font on this Thinking of You! I paired this one with a fun, new background stamp 'Lace Scallops'.  Easy card - both panels were stamped onto dark blue cardstock with Versamark ink, and matted onto white base and sentiment panel. Ta-da, Ta-done!

The next 4 cards need no explanation. I wanted to show how easy it was to use a piece of pretty patterned paper from my stash, and a sentiment from this beautiful set to create 4 five minute cards!
