Stairway to the Stars

Hi everyone!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share two cards using 'Stairway to the Stars', and the 'Messy Diamond Grid' Stencil.

For this first card, the girl, stars and sentiments were masked off, and the stenciling was done with Distress Oxide Inks. I then removed the masks, and stamped the girl again. I liked how it sorta gave her a shadow...

For this card, I simply misted the above stencil with water, and flipped it over onto a white panel. After the ink dried, I stamped everything in a bright blue ink. Next time, I will mask the girl off, so the stencil doesn't show through!

Hope you love this stamp as much as I do!!!

Don't forget!!! You can save 10% on any order by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.

This was so easy to create! Hope you will give it a try!

Now, be sure to head over to the Technique Junkies store and check out the incredible new stamps this month!

Thanks for stopping by,

Sketch Challenge - The House that Stamps Built

Hi everyone - Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for Repeat Impressions.
Here is the inspiration board that Wendy gave us to work with:

And here is the card I made using these Today, I used these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

8019 I Housework
623 D Sunday Morning

Isn't this a hoot? There are four of these fun faces that you can choose from!
I flipped the sketch (of course). When I started to cut my circle, I realized my white panel wasn't big enough, so I added some designer paper, and voila!  The die behind the circle is a fun Altenew die that I got at a stamp store in the city.

Now it’s your turn! Create something using the sketch above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!

Check out my sidebar to see how you can save money on your RI orders!

Now, it's time to see what my fellow Rock Stars have created!

Get Well Cards

Hey everyone!

I'm back with some cards for the What We Do Best challenge! Click HERE for details!  But, just in case you haven't heard, Technique Junkies is doing a four week challenge, with a different theme each week, and awarding a $50 gift certificate to the Technique Junkies shop.  While it's fun to win some prizes, remember that crafting is also a good way to pass the time during this social distancing period. Making cards is a perfect way to thank hospital staff, police and fire fighters, EMT's, postal workers, grocery store workers! The theme this week is "Get Well". Don't forget that your cards must include a decorated envelope!

Here's what I made for this challenge:

This card uses Technique Junkies 'Wreath Wishes', and 'A Colorful Life 6 x 6 Stencil 'Messy Diamond Grid' Stencil.

This card was made using Technique Junkies 'Floral Dot', and a computer generated sentiment.

Technique Junkies 'Play in the Puddles' was used for this card. Again, I used a computer generated sentiment.

Last, this pretty card uses Technique Junkies' Tulips with Text' and a computer generated sentiment.
Hope you like it! I'm getting these stamped and addressed as soon as I finish this post!

Don't forget!!! You can always save 10% on any order by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.
The sun is trying to shine here in MO. We have a 'tree man' here, removing a huge, dead tree from our yard. This is one we felt we couldn't do ourselves. It's very close to both power lines and fencing! Enjoy your day!

Hugs and smiles,

Chocolate for Breakfast?

Hello again!

I thought that I would enter one more card in the challenge at Impression Obsession. I made this card today, for the Challenge at Impression Obsession. The theme is 'Tickled' (funny cards!)  I used a fun stamp 'Chocolate Breakfast' designed by my friend Dina Kowal. Dina is one of the most gifted and talented people I know. If you don't already, you need to follow her blog, and look her up on Facebook. She is an incredible artist. Her drawings and colored pencil work leave me (yes ME) speechless!

This was SUPER easy to create!  I used a white card base, found a pretty piece of patterned paper, stamped the sentiment on it, matted it on peach cardstock, and adhered that panel to my base.
Ta-da and Ta-done!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs and grins,
Patti J.

Multi-tasking...

Hi ya'll!
Thought I'd spend a few minutes this week on a couple of challenge cards.

I made this card today, for the Challenge at Impression Obsession. The theme is 'Tickled' (funny cards!)  The stamps I used are: Solid Hearts Frame, and Multitasking. I know this is to be a funny challenge, but sadly, I really CAN listen, ignore and forget all at the same time!

I kept things clean and simple.
I stamped the Solid Hearts Frame, using Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry Ink.  Then, I masked off the frame, and stamped all around the frame with the 'Multitasking' sentiment, in Memento London Fog, stamping off on scrap paper one time prior to stamping on the panel, for a faded look. (If you look hard, you will see where I forgot to stamp off!) I stamped the sentiment once more in Versafine Black Ink in the center of the frame. Last, I took a Copic MultiLiner pen and added some 'stitching' to the hearts.

Hope you like it!
Have a great day! I plan to venture outside to pull some weeds in a bit.

Take care,
Patti J.

Happy Birthday Human

Hi everyone!

Thought I'd pop in and share a cute card that I created for our grandson's 4th birthday. He called us a few weeks ago, speaking 'robot' speak, so I thought of these fun robots from Beccy's Place. I thought I'd made a pop-up card, and put some fun inside, as well as outside.

Hope it makes you smile!  And I hope it made him smile!!! He hadn't gotten it yet, when we checked last!

I'm going to enter this in the challenge at Beccy's Place!

Have a great day,
Patti J.

Internet Browser, Sprinkle All Day, Op Art

Hello!

I have two fun cards to share with you today using stamps from Technique Junkies (new and old release items).

This card uses Op Art, and Sparkle All Day.  The stamp was inked using distress oxide inks, spritzed with water, and the focal panel smooshed down onto the wet color.
I love glitter....just sayin'!

This card also uses 'Op Art', and distress inks, with normal ink and stamp technique.
This fun sentiment 'Internet Browser' was written just for me!

WWDB Card 2!

Hey everyone!

I'm back with another card for the What We Do Best challenge!

Here is my second card made for this challenge:

And here it is with matching envelope!

I used Technique Junkies' Calendula' stamp. I masked off the center of the panel, and stamped the image. After removing the mask, a die cut sentiment was adhered, as were two skinny strips of glittery Washi tape, and black cardstock.

Hope you like it! I'm thinking this one may go to the post office. Our ladies in the local office are overworked, underappreciated, and now, with talk of USPS being closed down, they are quite blue.

Don't forget!!! You can always save 10% on any order by entering TJ10Patti at checkout.
The sun is shining beautifully here in MO., at least for another 2-3 hours when the rain blows in! Enjoy your day!  I woke up at 4:12 a.m., put both feet on the floor and everything worked! It's a good day - I'm feelin' blessed!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

A few cards to share...

Howdy, folks!

So, I have a few cards to share today that we needed 'just because'.  We just mailed out 96 cards to people in our church, and elsewhere, that we were thinking about with this awful virus going around. Sadly, we also lost a family member last week, and I needed some sympathy cards.

Here are a few of the cards that I made.

I'm entering this in the Scor-Pal challenge this month. The theme is 'Flowers', and of course, more than one fold.

And here are a few more...

These first two use stamps from Stanpin'Up.

And these two use a gorgeous set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
I'm going to enter them in the April challenge in the Sweet 'n Sassy VIP Facebook Group - the challenge is to use pastel colors. I sponged with some pastel colors, then stamped the image repeatedly. On both cards, I had a major OOPS after the card was entirely finished, so I quickly added some birds from my stash.

That's it for today!
Hope your weekend is wonderful - it's a lovely day here in MO!

Hugs,
Patti J.

April 16, 2020

Hi there!

It's my day to post on the Technique Junkies Design blog, and I wanted to share a card using one of the April new release stamps, 'Tail in the Air'.

Isn't he just the cutest ever? I actually stamped this image first on the white focal panel, then on patterned paper, fussy cutting it. I adhered the image with dimensional foam dots, and decided it needed more dimention, so stamped once more and popped up just the head.

The Ribbon Tab Technique from the December 2012/January 2013 issue of the Technique Junkies Newsletter was used to give this cute dude a bit of sass!

This was so easy to create! Hope you will give it a try!
