To Have Faith...

Hi there!

I had a bit of time to play this week, and thought I'd work on a challenge card.

The challenge at the Impression Obsession Blog is Yellow and Blue. I made this card, using the Impression Obsession StampsFaith Wings and Swallowtail.

Thanks for stopping by today - hope you are all doing well!
It's a beautiful day in Missouri!

Sketch it out!

Howdy!
Hope this finds you all well and happy!

I saw a great sketch challenge at Power Poppy this month, and decided to play along!
As always, I'm a rebel when it comes to sketches, so I had to flip it...
Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I used the digital images and sentiment from the Power Poppy Everything's Rosy set. I use this set often for get well, and thinking of you cards. Love that I can resize the images to suit my needs. The image is colored with Copic Markers, and the mug is beautifully shiny, courtesy of Glossy Accents!

Enjoy your weekend, and thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs and blessings,

Challenges!

Hi all,
It's been a very long time since I entered any challenges. Thought I'd throw a couple of entries out there this week!

I saw a fun challenge at Double D Challenges, 'Kentucky Derby Hat Inspiration'.  Here is the inspirational photo they offered:

I had this older stamp set from Flourishes that immediately came to mind. Here is what I made:

Then, there was a challenge at The House that Stamps Built. The Designer Choice Challenge was hostessed by Shirley Hotop, and was to create a one layer card. Well....I did. However, while coloring the image, there was an OOPS, which I covered up by paper piecing the pot and leaves. Hope it still counts, as I sure didn't mean to! I don't know about you, but I'm finding it tough to find good quality white cardstock that alcohol markers do not bleed on! Anyway, here is what I made for the one layer challenge using all Repeat Impressions stamps:

Hope you are having a good evening. I'm having a bit of a pity party. I was supposed to fly to California today to visit grandson and his parents. Unfortunately, I took a tumble down a flight of stairs last week, and am pretty stoved up. Not fit for flying today, for sure. So, I'm quite sad tonight.

Take care, and stay dry!

Floral Fantasy at Scor-Pal

Happy May, everyone!

It's been a nice week in Missouri - hope it's nice where you are.

The monthly challenge at Scor-Pal, is Floral Fantasy, and of course, more than one fold.

I chose to make a W Card. I found several on Pinterest, and sort of combined them to come up with one that I liked. It's super simple! Basically it's just your A2 card with a 'W' mechanism for the inside. It measures 1" x 11" and is scored at 2.75", 5.5", and 8.25". I just used some scraps of patterned paper, and a flower stamp from Repeat Impressions Stamps, called 'Patti's Flower' Outline (it's fun to use a stamp that I drew the design for!)
Hope you like it!!!

For my project, I used: Scor-Pal Eighths, and Scor-Tape 3/8".

Here is the card...

This photo shows the inside of the card.

This photo shows the 'W' mechanism.

We hope to see your creations with texture in our 'More Than One Fold', Scor-Pal challenge!

We also have a ton of inspiration in the Projects section of the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to help you get creative!

Happy April!
