Just to say hello...

Just to say hello...
I don't send 'just because' cards as often as I should, but when I do, this is a
definite 'go to' stamp - love it!

Here is a card I made using some great products from Crafter's Companion:

I wish I could capture the beautiful shimmer that this cardstock has. Maybe
if you click to enlarge the photo, you can see how pretty it shines, and
what a gorgeous cardstock it is for dry embossing!

Here are the products that I used:

Bling from my stash

This card would be pretty made up for a wedding or anniversary, as well!

Thanks for dropping by today - hope you're having a great Monday!

Hugs,

Photo Inspiration Challenge at 'The House'....

Hello!
So glad you stopped by today!

It's time for a new Photo Inspiration challenge at The House that Stamps Built!

Here is the photo that we were given for inspiration:

Well, you know me and my 'love' of photo inspiration challenges!  To me, the scenic ones are the toughest.  The photos are so beautiful, but I have total brain lock when working with one.

I guess it's why they call them challenges, right?????

When I looked at this photo, I was drawn to a few things...the 'valley' of trees, the heart shaped clouds, and just the thought that this scene would take ones breath away. So here is what I made today, using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

The trees were stamped first, with black ink (I stamped off first on a scrap,
so the image wouldn't be too dark). Next, the heart was stamped with a
light sand colored ink. The sentiment was stamped with black ink, and
the entire card was sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
The panel was mounted onto a Kraft card base.

Now, it's your turn!
Come on over and join us in our Photo Inspiration Challenge!  If I
can do it, you can do it!!!

Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps
but if you do, you have double the chance of winning!
I can't wait to see your beautiful cards using this photo!!!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart...

Hello!
I'm having a lot of fun with Crafter's Companion products!

I hope this pretty card adds a bright spot to your Monday :)

I first stenciled the sun rays, then stamped the pansy image with Versamark Ink, and embossed with white. To finish the focal area, some sponging was done, and a frame was added.  The sentiment and some hearts were added to the bottom.

Inside, I added a bit of the oval frame around the stamped pansies.

Here are the Crafter's Companion products that I used on this card:

Sheena Decorative Stencil 7" x 7" Burst (currently out of stock)

DCC Challenge at 'The House'...

Hello!

I hope you are enjoying your week - Happy Wednesday!

It’s challenge day at The House that Stamps Built, and we have a great Designer’s Choice Challenge for you. RI Rock StarHeather, is hosting and has a wonderful theme challenge for us. Please join in our challenge, and create something using the theme "Use Some Hearts".

Here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

The image and sentiment were stamped on a focal panel with versamark ink, and heat
embossed with white embossing powder. Some distress ink was sponged onto the focal
panel. The excess ink was wiped off with a paper towel, the focal panel was matted and adhered to the blue card base. Voila...easy peasy!!!

And now it’s your turn!
We hope you will create a card that has a focus on the DCC theme, 'Use Some Hearts', and enter it in our challenge at The House that Stamps Built!  Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them!  Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

Check out my sidebar to see how you can save money on your RI orders!

Now, it's time to see what my DT friends have created!

Black, White and Red Challenge at 'The House'!!!

Good morning!

I'm back with a new challenge for Repeat Impressions
Our challenge this week is a color challenge - look at the classic colors Wendy
gave us to work with:

And, here's what I made using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

This heart stamp actually has a heart, with the word LOVE below it. I snipped off the word,
making two separate stamps, and used only the heart for this card. Using my Stamp-a-ma-jig,
I repeatedly stamped the heart, first in one direction, then turning the card, I stampe
repeatedly in the other direction. The checked border is a teensy width Washi Tape.
The beautiful 'Travel Light' sentiment pretty much sums up life, and finished up this card.
I matted the focal panel on black, then adhered that to a white card base.

Now it’s your turn! Create a card using the colors above, and link it up at The House that Stamps Built. Remember, your creation does not have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you would like to include our designs we would love to see them! Plus, there’s an added bonus… you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing for using our stamps in your submissions!
