Repeat Impressions Project of the Week - Can It!!!

Hi there!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and we always need a last minute inexpensive, but thoughtful gift for friends, neighbors, Sunday School members, etc.

My Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions is quick, easy, and so much fun
for the recipient!  For some of you paper crafters that have been around a
long time, this is not a new idea. For some of you that are newer
to this creative corner of our world, you'll enjoy this!!!

Today, I'll be using these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

Let's get started - we are making a Can of Kisses...

Start with a can of fruit, veggies, etc., that has a pop top like the one pictured above.

Using a can opener designed to remove lids safely, with smooth edges, remove
the BOTTOM of your can.

Take the label off, and measure it to see what size paper you'll need to replace it.
For this can, I used a 4 1/8" x 10" piece of plain pink copy paper.

Using the Tumbling Hearts, I stamped randomly all over my pink paper with red ink.

I then took a glitter pen, and glittered the whole sheet.
I stamped the sentiment, mounted and adhered it to the panel, and
added some glitter tape to each end for further sparkle.

The next step is to add some adhesive (wet or dry) to the back side of the panel.

Decide which will be your 'outside' edge, and add a bit of adhesive to that end.

Begin rolling your panel around your can, being sure that you adhere your design
with the pattern facing the TOP of the can, not the bottom. (don't ask me how
I discovered this :)

Fill can with items of choice - candy, money, jewelry, scarf, rubber stamps from

Add a bit of glue around the outer edge of your lid, and place it back on can.
Allow to dry for handling.

Decorate the top of your can as frilly...

...or as simple as you like!
I kept this project uber-simple design-wise.

Give it a try!  If you do, stop by and let us know, so we can come see your beautiful creation!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Repeat Impressions - January Photo Inspiration Challenge

Hello!
So glad you stopped by today!

It's time for a new Photo Inspiration challenge at The House that Stamps Built!

Here is the photo that we were given for inspiration:

Well, you know me and my 'love' of photo inspiration challenges!  To me, the scenic ones are the toughest.  The photos are so beautiful, but I have total brain lock when working with one.

I guess it's why they call them challenges, right?????

When I looked at this photo, I immediately thought of the snow, so.........

For my card today, I used this Repeat Impressions Stamp:

I had some pretty white glittery snowflake card stock that I used for
my card base. Using some blue ink and a stipple brush, I added the blue
around the snowflakes. Stamped and matted my sentiment (which makes me
laugh out loud), and added a bit of white ribbon to finish this one off!
(My stamps that I was going to use for this have not come in yet, so
I had fun improvising :)

Now, it's your turn!
Come on over and join us in our Photo Inspiration Challenge!
Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps
but if you do, you have double the chance of winning!
I can't wait to see your beautiful cards using this photo!!!

Winter Wonderland

Nope, we didn't get snow. And...believe me, I am doing the happiest
dance ever!  Seems I'm cold all the time these days - don't want snow :)

It IS, however, time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built, and we have a great Designer’s Choice Challenge for you. RI Rock StarKathy, is hosting and has a wonderful theme challenge for us. Please join in our challenge, and create something using the theme "Winter Wonderland".

A little more of this and that!

 Hi there!

Here are a few more things that have been created and never posted...let me know if you have any questions!  We are in the middle of a laundry room makeover that has snowballed into a
kitchen makeover, so my creative time has been spent on a ladder or on my knees.

Made this one for a friend's daughter who has the cutest ever dachund dog!

My bestie, Shirley, and I saw this card at our LSS, and decided we could do it!  These cards
went into 'sunshine' boxes for our folks that we are Chemo Angels for.

These two cards were made using some lovely Heartfelt Creations Papers.

Thanks for stopping by - I promise to get my act together soon and come visiting!

Hugs,
Patti J.
