Baby...

Hello!
Sorry for being MIA this week - lightning took out a port in my computer, and I'm trying to get it repaired. Have relied fully on my IPad, and as you know, it's really hard to do a full blog post from there!
I've been wanting to do the challenges at The Paper Loft (they have such delicious papers!) for quite some time, and I think I'm sliding in just in time! The challenge ends tomorrow.  It is sketch challenge PLS17 - you can see the sketch below.  I needed a baby card for a little boy baby, and found this adorable stamp while shopping with friends the other day.  Couldn't wait to paper piece it!  Be sure to check out the beautiful items at The Paper Loft!!! You'll be glad you did :)
Here's my card:

Supplies: The Paper Loft Everyday Life & In the Zone, Woodware Baby Patch Elephant...of course, I used my Perfect Paper Crafting Mini Rulers to get the nice mat behind the elephant! See my sidebar for details!

And here is the sketch:

Hope that you are all doing well this week. It's a pretty day here in Missouri,
at least until more storms come zipping through!

Thanks for dropping by,
Patti J.

Inspired by Stamping and Die-Versions Blog Hop

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Inspired by Stamping and Die-Versions Blog Hop.
Twenty two talented designers have united to celebrate the new season and shake off the malaise of a snowy winter. Yay!!!

Inspired by Stamping, which designs and manufactures the highest quality of photopolymer stamps that bring superior stamping to all crafters, has teamed up with Die-Versions, makers of low profile metal dies which works with virtually every machine out there and cuts through most materials, to create this special eye candy of Spring themed projects.

One lucky "hopper" will get a total prize package of $100 in gift certificates, a $50 gift certificate from Inspired by Stamping AND Die-Versions, so you can stock up on some awesome products both of these companies have to offer.

For your chance to win the grand prize, visit all of the participating blogs, leaving a comment at each, then leave a comment telling us what you like the most about Spring at the Inspired by Stamping blog.  All comments entered between now and April 28th at 10pm (Pacific time) will be eligible for the grand prize.

Look at all of the amazing products that I was lucky enough to create with!
There was so much Die-Versions and Inspired by Stamping goodness, that I hardly
knew where to begin!

For this first card, I die cut the Amazing frame, and actually used the trimmed to fit outside piece as a background for my focal panel.  Since I really wanted the Inspired by Stamping Designer papers to be seen, all three of my cards are pretty clean and simple.
Die-Versions DVSF-005 Sweet Frames 'Amazing' Die, Inspired by Stamping 'It's Your Birthday' , Spring Lilacs 6 x 6 Designer Paper Pad, and Crochet Lace.  Other supplies: Kraft cardstock, Bazzill Cardstock, Tombow adhesive, Amuse Studio Ink.

For this card, the background was stamped with several of the stamps from the 'It's Your Birthday' set.
The beautiful Teardrop border punch was used to add some dimension.
Die-Versions Whispers DVW-351 'Teardrop Punch Border', Inspired by Stamping 'It's Your Birthday' and 'Arrows', Crochet Lace. Other supplies: Black and blue cardstocks, Baker's Twine, Dimensional Foam, Tombow Adhesive, Amuse Studio Ink. Also used my wonderful Mini Rulers from Perfect Paper Crafting to get my nice, even mats. See my sidebar for details!

For this card, I wanted the die and paper to be the focal point!
Die-Versions DVB-013 Express Banners 'Hooray' , Inspired by Stamping Spring Lilacs 6 x 6 Paper Pad, Crochet Lace, and Pink Roses. Other Supplies: Kraft Cardstock, Bazzill Cardstock, Dimensional Foam, Tombow Runner and Mono Adhesives. Again, my Mini Rulers from Perfect Paper Crafting were used for this nice straight mat! See my sidebars for details!
Your next stop on the hop is the incredibly talented Grace Tolman.  If you ever get lost in the hop, you can always go back to the beginning, Die-Versions blog, for the complete order list.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hooray!

Good morning, and welcome to my Die-Versions post!
This month's release was so much fun.  I know - I say that EVERY month!
It's true, but I just love these dies!

This first card uses the Die-Versions Express Banners 'Hooray' die.
I love that by using this sentiment, the card could be sent for any type of celebration!
Used my Perfect Papercrafting Mini Rulers for the pretty brown borders! (See sidebar for details).

Die-Versions Express Banners DVB-013 - Hooray

I'm sorry, just couldn't help myself!  This Die-Versions 'Amazing' Sweet Frame just called
for our granddaughters photo.  Don't you agree?  For this card, I die cut the little frame
from a sheet of sticky paper, and covered it with some Silk Microfine Glitter that
was a gift from my friend Diane.  Add a photo, a bit of embossing, and a ribbon, and voila!

Die-Versions Sweet Frames DVSF-005 - Amazing

Be sure to drop in often at the Die-Versions blog, store, and Facebook page. There's always
some fun inspiration, and Dani's dies are 'AMAZING'!!!

Have a great day,
Patti J.

So Thankful for You...

Hello!
I sure hope it's as lovely where you live, as it is here today. The birds are singing their
spring songs, the sun is shining, and the temps are nice - in the 60's!  Life is good :)

I have another card that was published in an issue of CardMaker Magazine a while back, that never got posted here.  I thought I'd share it with you, as it's such an easy card to make!

I found a couple pieces of pretty patterned papers, and cut two panels.  My wonderful Amuse Studio Swallow Dies were used on the front panel, cutting through both the patterned paper and the green mat.
Adhere the large panel to card base. Adhere the small panel to card front with foam squares. Tada!!!

That's all there is to it!

Have a wonderful day - I'll be back in a day or so with some things I've been working on!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

Our day began with an amazing sunrise service.

We all went back to the church for a nice continental breakfast.

When our choir presented their Easter Cantata, it was difficult to keep a dry eye.

There were about a dozen or so of us that had no family plans, so we
went to a wonderful little winery for lunch.

Mother Nature blessed us with incredible weather for a ride home
with the top down in our little car.

Ahhh.......Life is good, peeps, so good!

Thanks for stopping by today.
Easter blessings to each of you!

Hugs,
Patti J.

A Warm Hello

A Warm Hello to you all!  Today, I'm happy to be posting for Die-Versions.  My cards today are featuring dies from the April release.  Both were fun to create, and I hope they give you a smile or two!

This card was my very first attempt using modeling creme.

Supplies:  Die-Versions Whispers DVW-348 'Pebbles Background' Die, Tiddly Inks Image, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Perfect Papercrafting tools (see sidebar for details), Copic Markers.

To begin, I die cut the fabulous Pebbles Background to use as a stencil.  Seriously, love this die!
A piece of cardstock was cut to the same size.

The next step was to place the 'stencil' over the cardstock.

Then I quickly spread the modeling creme over the top of the stencil.
I immediately removed the 'stencil', and scraped the excess back into the jar.
Of course, since I am a hoarder, I saved the 'stencil' for another project!
The modeling creme takes only a short while to dry.  Once dry, I just sponged
some pretty ink colors on, and used the beautiful pebble background to create this happy card!

The white panel was cut to card front size, and I die cut the border on each side. This would
have been fun to just leave the white space in the center, but I couldn't resist using a fun digi image,
and doing an 'outside the box' type of center panel.  Don't you just LOVE these drops?
Here's a giggle for you - after the card was entirely finished, I realized that the teardrops were
upside down!  Go ahead and laugh - I'm sure you've had days like that!

Supplies:  Die-Versions Whispers DVW-351 'Teardrop Punch Border', Bugaboo Image, Copic Markers, Perfect Papercrafting Rulers (see sidebar for details)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope that you are all well, and enjoying your week.

Hugs and Blessings,
Patti J.

Lots of Love for Lauryn

Isn't this little girl just precious?
Let me introduce you....

Lauryn was diagnosed with Leukemia on March 27, 2014. She is currently hospitalized in the DC area undergoing chemotherapy to fight this terrible disease.

Lauryn is Linda Payne's granddaughter...
many of you in the stamping community probably know our sweet Linda!

As news of Lauryn's illness spread via social media, many of you have asked if there is anything you can do to help, so we have come up with a plan. We decided to have a Card Drive and would like to invite YOU to help by sending "happy mail" to Lauryn and her family.

Please create cards to share your love and encouragement for Lauryn and her family. Lauryn's parents are Josh and Elizabeth and she has two older siblings: Lily and Logan. We thank the Lord for this dear family and need to pray for them as they are seeking to glorify the Lord throughout this trial.

Cards can be mailed to:

Children's National
Hematology/Oncology RM 437
Lauryn Newsome
111 Michigan Ave NW
Washington DC 20010

You can find updates on Lauryn via a Facebook page that has been set up by some family. It is Fight on Little Lauryn. They have shared how encouraging it is receive a simple "like" on a Facebook status or words of love and encouragement that is posted.

Here is the fabulous group of bloggers who have joined us in promoting this Card Drive. We would love for you to hop with us as numerous bloggers have blog candy and all you need to do is leave a comment...

Patti J. - you are here!

Here is what I created with this box template.

As a new grandma, I created a box for our Lorelei!  Here is the box shown as an easel top box.

Better shot, looking down on it.

Here is what the easel looks like without a photo.

Here's what the box looks like on the inside...

And here is what it looks like with the little flap all tucked in behind the owl!

I used all Amuse Studio papers - Love that they all coordinate so beautifully!
This would be fun as a recipe box, vacation photo holder, souvenier holder, baby's first lock of hair and tooth, etc... Happy hopping!

Thanks for stopping by!
