Emily's Harvest

Happy Friday!

I found a new digi site yesterday, The Digi Garden.  Oh my goodness - they have such cute images! If you like to color, you'll have to give them a try!  I nabbed their freebie off of Facebook, Emily's Harvest. Here is what I created with her...
The Digi Garden (Emily's Harvest), Simple Stories (Generations & Harvest Lane), Spellbinders, Dimensional Squares, Bazzill Basics Cardstock for base, Copic Markers, Tim Holtz White Distress pen

All of the background papers, and little embellies are from Simple Stories.  They are becoming one of my favorite paper lines.  My perfect lines are made using my Perfect Layers Tools.

I'm entering this in the customer challenge at The Digi Garden.

Hope you have a nice weekend planned!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Patti J.

Clean and Simple Fun

Mornin' peeps!

Today's share consists of two very easy cards.  One is for my Chemo Card Angel lady, and one is for a very sick little girl that has recently been diagnosed with leukemia.

This first card was one that my friend Shirley had picked out for us to try at one of our 'play' days!  We take turns with ideas, and it's always a lot of fun to see what the other finds to CASE!

Amuse CS, Ink, Washi Tape, and flower die.

This card uses all Amuse products (Shirley is a demo if you need any product...).  We die cut the shape, put patterned paper behind it, a wee strip of Washi tape (also Amuse), and a button finished it off. Can you say easy-peasy?  Woweee!!!

This next card was fun, too.  The last issue of CardMaker, had a card by Michelle Woerner on the front cover.  She used all sorts of Washi tape on her card.  I didn't have any, so I used some randomly cut strips from a pad of patterned papers that I got free in a copy of an Australian magazine, Cardmaking and Papercraft.  Added a quick sentiment and a bit of bling!  As I didn't want to have to take a chance on a crooked sentiment, I stamped first, and adhered paper strips second.

Cardstock, Kate Knight "Totally Tropical" Summer Papers, Want2Scrap, Repeat Impressions "Thinking of You"

Ta da!  Two very quick cards!  I doubt that either card took more than 15 minutes to create. I've always been a bit afraid of CAS cards, but it's a style that is SO growing on me!

Hope your week is going well, and that your weekend holds some fun!  DH has three days off, and we are so excited!  That doesn't happen too often, and we are looking forward to some time together.

Thanks for stopping by - I'm off to see what you've been up to!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Flowers

Good morning!
Welcome to the Repeat Impressions Designer Choice Challenge!
Today, Lynette is our hostess.  Her challenge theme is to use flowers on our projects.  It's been so dry in Missouri this summer, that flowers have not been plentiful, but I found one of Wendy's gorgeous flowery stamps!  Here's my take on the challenge:
Repeat Impressions Spring Blossoms (1320-W), Dragonfly (102-W), Special (8608-W) Black CS, White CS, Copic Markers

So sorry for the washed out photo - don't have a clue why I couldn't get the colors to be more vivid!
The image was stamped, then trimmed into three pieces, matted with black CS, and that panel was then adhered to the white card base.  Voila!  Very quick card!

We would love to see YOUR take on the challenge, so drag out those beautiful flower stamps, create some magic, and link up to our challenge!  Check out the challenge details at the RI blog, The House that Stamps Built.  You could be the lucky winner!

Stop by to see what my fellow Rockstars have to share with you!

Ghosties...

Hi there!

I don't know about you, but I think these little Neat and Tangled Halloween ghosties are as sweet as can be.  I just couldn't wait to ink them up again :)
Neat and Tangled, Tim Holtz Distress Marker, Kraft CS, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Ribbon from my stash

Who can resist Kraft, black, and white?  The clouds were 'colored' with my Tim Holtz white distress marker, which I am loving!  Stamped the fence at the top and bottom for some fun borders :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today...

Hugs,
Patti J.

Neat & Tangled

There is a new stamp store in town!
Danielle Walls' new line of stamps is called Neat & Tangled, and you can find it here.
I created 'just for fun' today.  I had some time, and just wanted a clean and simple
Halloween card.

I used the Neat & Tangled "Halloween Scene" to stamp on different colored blocks
for a very easy and quick card.  I'm thinking of all the fun ways to paper piece the haunted
house and bats, so be watching for this set to come back soon!

Neat & Tangled is also having a Design Team call, until Tues., Aug. 28th, so if you are interested,
check it out!  Looks like an incredibly fun team to be a part of !

Hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by today - be sure to check out Danielle's cute new stamps!

Have a great weekend,
Patti J.

Old McBarn

Good morning, and welcome to our new release hop!
Adela Rossol, of Creations by AR, has been very busy, creating a fun set of templates.
The first template is Old McBarn - what fun!
Barn Closed

Barn Open

Next is a matching card - called Old McBarn Card, of course!
Card Closed

Card Open

My barn and card began with plain white cardstock.  I left the windows, doors, and trim white, and sponged the other pieces with Tim Holtz Weathered Wood Distress Ink.  After I had it evenly sponged, I then scored lines to hopefully resemble siding.  Once the 'siding' was done, I sponged again, but with Antique Linen Distress Ink, allowing the score lines to be a bit more pronounced, and the barn to look older.

The barn roof comes off to hold items of your choice.  Mine was filled with yummies!

The card is adorable - the doors open in front to reveal one of Laurie Wilson's adorable Doodle Pantry pre-colored images, Quirky Donkey.  I sized, printed, cut to fit back of card, and adhered. Voila! The card actually opens on the back for your message...too much fun!  Not only that, but check it out - it folds flat for mailing...tee hee!
Card in A-2 Envelope!
Be sure to check out the rest of the Creations by AR team - they have some great projects to share! As you hop, be sure to leave a comment.  Each of us will give away one of the new templates!  Check back Saturday to see if you are the lucky winner!  Happy Hopping!

Patti J. (that's me!)

So, I have to share that my hero for this hop was my teamie, Sue.  She was so sweet, and offered to cut my files and mail them to me! (If you follow my blog, you know that I use my scissors :)  I had her just cut everything in white, not knowing how I would decorate them.  When the envelope arrived, and I saw all of those windows and doors, I was happy dancing at the post office - no kidding!  The cuts were all straight, so I could have cut them by hand, but it was nice not to have to do so!
So thank you, Sue Kment, you rock :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp of the Week.....

Good morning, and thanks for stopping by :)
Today, I am sharing the Repeat Impressions Stamp of the Week, 'Fern'.
Those of you that spend any time here, know that I've used this stamp several times in the last few months. It's such a pretty little stamp, and so versatile!

Here is my card:

Stamping is done with Adirondack 'Lettuce', and the line is drawn with an Atyou Spica Chocolate Glitter Pen.  Repeat Impressions 'Beautiful Days' is the sentiment.  My ruler moved on the bottom right corner, and I was quite tempted to put a pearl there, but forgot. Once the photo was uploaded and ready to go, I decided to leave it like it is. However, before mailing, I will probably do something with it.

Now, this adorable little stamp can be yours for 50% off this week, at Repeat Impressions! Check out the RI Blog, The House That Stamps Built for full details!!!

To entice you just a bit further, check out the beautiful Fern cards made my my Rockstar teamies, Cheri, Karen, and Makiko!

* * * * *
Hope you had a nice weeked!  Ours was great!  I was lucky enough to go to a rubber stamp convention in Collinsville, Illinois, where I met my Creations by AR teamie, Lisa Somerville, who was working at the Our Daily Bread booth.  She is as beautiful in real life as she is on-line, and what a sweet lady! It is so much fun to get to meet folks in person after we've communicated in computer talk!

Traveled up with my friend Shirley, her boss Cheryl, and once we were there, we met up with our friend, Donna, her mom and SIL, and three other friends from our little area.  Had a great day!

Off to unload my bags!

Have a good week,
Patti J.

Repeat Impression Stamp of the Week

A new Repeat Impressions' Stamp of the Week Challenge starts today!
We are showcasing Wendy's beautiful Fern in this challenge.
Repeat Impressions Fern (1708-W), Beautiful Days (9206-H0, Adirondack Dye Ink, Lettuce, Chocolate Atyou Spica Glitter Pen

The image was stamped three times randomly, down the left side of the card front.
The sentiment was then stamped at the bottom right edge.
I took a straightedge, and drew a doodle line to connect the image and sentiment.
Made for a one-layer, easily mailed card.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hop on over to see what Cheri, Karen, and Makiko have created today, using the Fern image!

Blessings,
Patti J.

Hello

Well, hello there!

Short post today, as I am packing a box for Afghanistan for dear SIL and his troops.
Wanted to include a bit of fun today, so I decorated some Tic Tac boxes.
Hero Arts "Hello", Copic Markers, Jillibean Soup Twine, Tic Tacs, Bless You stamp from Great Impressions, DP strip from Simple Stories.

These were so easy - just used a Hero Arts stamp and some Copic colors on Kraft CS on the outside, stamped a heartfelt sentiment for the inside, and ta-da!  Not my idea - found where I'd sketched this out on a piece of scratch paper eons ago, and don't have any source for the original idea.

I am going to enter this in the challenge at A Blog Names Hero.  The challenge is "The Krafty Crafter" (use Kraft CS or colors), and I did!  Ironically, I've also used a Hero Arts stamp!  Don't you love it when that happens?

Off to tape up a box...

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Patti J.

Score It!

Hello!
It's time for a new Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge at The House that Stamps Built
Karen is the challenge hostess this week, and she has challenged us to use our score boards on our cards.
Repeat Impressions Dragonfly Deco (4405-W), Special  (8608-W), Amuse CS, and Amuse Pigment Inks (Blackberry, Cherry, French Roast, Navy, & Buttercup)

The ink was sponged directly onto the images with small finger daubers (a technique that my best stampin' bud, Shirley taught me!).
The lower purple panel was scored at 1/8" increments.
Ribbon from my stash.

Hope you have some time this week to do some scoring of your own!
I look forward to seeing your amazing creations linked up!
You could even be the lucky winner!

Check out my fellow Rockstars - they have some wonderful eye candy for you!

From ruffles to BBQ...

Know what I love best about paper creations?
Hands down, it is the variety of images, styles, and textures!
My last card featured ruffles and bling, and today, I have BBQ and sandals...

Whimsie Doodles Image, Smokin' Hot Fun, Copic Markers, Blut CS, Scor-Pal

I found this cute little image at Whimsie Doodles, and decided that he is going to DS, who just moved. One of his new acquisitions is a BBQ grill and patio furniture, so this just seemed like fun.

Hope you are having a good week!
Thanks for stopping by :)

Hugs,
Patti J.

Just Because...

Hi there!

Today, while looking at Pam Sparks' beautiful creation, she mentioned the challenge at Tilda's Town.  It's been a while since I had time to join in a challenge.  I was excited to use my one and only Magnolia stamp, when I noticed that challenge #13 was "Shabby Chic".  EEKS!!!  Sorry, but I so, so, SO suck at Shabby Chic!  Hmmm....decided to do it anyway - no laughter allowed... (am also going to enter this in the Greetings Challenge at the Outlawz, which is 'Anything Goes').

Bazzill CS, Kraft CS, My Mind's Eye DP's, My Favorite Things Flourish Die, Kitchen knife for distressing, Scraps from my 'bling' stash, Magnolia Princess Tilda, Dimensional Foam, Sentiment from Hero Arts.

I'm still on the fence here - not sure that I like this, but it's got some shabby and it's got some chic, so it's being linked up.  Worth a shot, right? Lol...probably a D- but anything above an F is passing, right?

On a serious note, there are three families out there dealing with some incredible losses this week.
Three more fellow service people of our son-in-law's were killed this week.
Please keep these service people, and their families in your thoughts, and prayers.

Hugs & blessings,
Patti J.

Let Your Dreams Take Flight...

Good morning!

Welcome to the Repeat Impressions What If Wednesday Sketch Challenge #A812!   Wendy has once again provided us with a fun sketch to work with.  I couldn't resist using the hot air balloons with this one!

Here is Wendy's sketch:

And here is my card!
Repeat Impressions #9116-N Air Balloon Cluster,  #9117-F Dreams Take Flight, Amuse Cardstock, Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury White Cardstock, pearls, green satin ribbon, and white trim from my stash, Memento Tuxedo Black Dye Ink, Perfect Layers Tools, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

I chose to use one of the sentiments and images from the 9100 series that was released recently. The balloons were paperpieced with the cute dotty cardstock from Amuse. Perfect Layers Tools were used for my nice straight mats.

We would love to see your take on this sketch!  Link up your card at The House that Stamps Built - you could be the next lucky winner!  Repeat Impressions stamps don't have to be used, but if you have them, we'd love to see them!

Check out my fellow Rockstars!  I'm sure they have some fabulous creations to share!

I'm Back....

Hi there!

Hope that you are all well, and off to a great week.  I've been gone for a week, so if I haven't been by to see you, it's due to no internet where I was.

DS moved last week.  DH went out for a week and helped him move out of his old house, and I went out and helped him on the settling in to his new house. He's been living in Los Angeles for several years, but was transferred up to the San Jose area.

I so enjoyed the weather there - stayed about 68-75 degrees.  Felt wonderful after our 90's and 100's for the last 30 days, and it was so good to see DS.  When the 'kids' were growing up, we never thought they'd live so many states away from us.  If you have young ones at home, cherish every single day with them!

With good luck, I'll be back to normal later today or tonight!

Thanks for being patient with me....

Hugs & blessings,
Patti J.

Loved an animal...

Hi folks!

Welcome!
It's time once again at Repeat Impressions to showcase another Stamp of the Week.
Today, our RI stamp of the week is Loved an Animal (6303-W).

Here is my card:
Repeat Impressions Loved an Animal (6303-W), Bazzill CS, Amuse CS, Button from stash, Amuse Baker's Twine, Dimensional Squares, *Perfect Layers Tools.

This is such a pretty sentiment. I don't own a lot of RI animal stamps, so I decided to let this darling designer paper showcase the sentiment!  My friend, Shirley, gifted me with a few sheets of DP a while back, and this was in the mix. Sorry, don't know who makes it.  The little scallop edge you see behind the sentiment is not punched, but is actually just a part of the DP.  Cuteness, right?

Be sure to stop by and see what my fellow Rockstars, Cheri, Karen, and Makiko, have created!
This stamp can be yours, for 50% off this week, if you are a RI reader - check out all the details on the blog, The House that Stamps Built!

Don't forget that you can also, still get in on some challenge action
at the RI blog, The House That Stamps Built!

Head over and check it out - would love to see YOUR card linked up!

Have a great week,
Patti J.

Black & White Plus One...

Hello!

It's time for a new Designer's Choice Challenge for Repeat Impressions!
This week, I am your challenge hostess, and my challenge to you is this:
Create a card or project using the colors black, white, and one other color of your choice.

Repeat Impressions Dream, Inspire, Hope (3101W), Fern (1708W),  Adirondack Lettuce Dye Ink, October Afternoon 905 Collection Green Button, Black Twine from my stash, Perfect Layers Tools
I chose the Dream, Inspire, Hope stamp for my focal piece.  I stamped the sentiment on this piece, and then attached it to the next largest white panel with some removable two sided tape. I then attached those two panels to the largest white panel, again, using removable tape.  The Fern was randomly stamped on the white panels.  When it looked the way I wanted, I pulled the panels apart, and mounted each of them on black mats. Voila!

Be sure to check out the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built, for challenge details!
We would love to see your card entered in the challenge!  Someone will be a lucky winner!

My fellow Rockstars have some beautiful creations to share with you today too!  Stop by and see what they have created with black, white, and one other color :)

Cheri   *   Dawn   *   Joy   *   Karen   *   Kecia   *   Lynette   *   Makiko

My wonderfully straight edges were cut using my Perfect Layers Tools.  Remember, you can use any rotary cutter, or craft knife with these tools!  Be sure to use the code on my sidebar if you decide to try them - you'll get 5% off.  Check out their website for a video tutorial.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs and blessings,
