Congratulations!

Good morning...

I'm so glad that you stopped by today!

As it is Sunday, it's a new challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge Blog.

Our wonderful, and creatively amazing, Lisa Hjulberg is today's hostess.

Lisa has chosen the following scripture for her challenge today:

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

~Phillipians 4:13

Lisa's challenge to us is to create a card or project showing encouragement, or congratulations.

Our sponsor this week is Scor-Pal. One lucky winner will receive a sample of their Scor-Tape! It could be you! We can't wait to see your encouragement or contratulations projects!

My card today features stamps from The Angel Company.

I used my Scor-Pal to create a Faux Tile card.

I stamped and colored my image with Copic markers,

then scored lines every 1/2", turned the card, and scored again at every 1/2".

Next, the image and sentiment were distressed with Antique Linen distress ink.

The entire piece and the sentiment were covered with Versamark Dazzle,

then with Ultra Thick Embossing Powder (UTEE).

After heat embossing, the Versamark/UTEE step was repeated once more.

Both pieces were attached to some hunter green CS,

and a ribbon added for simple embellishing.

Found some gold gemstones for a bit of bling in the center of the poinsettia.

I hope that your week has been as delightful as ours has.

Our DS got here from California on Tuesday afternoon, and our DD got here Tuesday night. DS left this morning very early to go home, and we are blessed to have DD still home with us.

Thanksgiving Day brought friends to dinner - my dear friend Shirley, and her DH joined us for an abundance of yummies, and brought a wonderful homemade coconut creme pie!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Have a great week -

Flutter By Snow Angel...

Hello! Happy Wednesday! I am very late getting this card posted - we picked DS up from the airport yesterday, and have been SO enjoying some family time!

Today is my last Wednesday with the Flutter By Wednesday team. (Enter a sad face here) These girls were so much fun. What a great, relaxed, caring, and fun group of ladies! I had a wonderful time, and I appreciate the opportunity I had to serve as GDT for them.

The challenge this week at Flutter By Wednesday challenge, is to make a Thank You card, using a butterfly, angel, or fairy.

Pretty simple card - it's an adorable digi image by Nina May, the butterflies are punched with a Martha punch, and the sentiment is computer generated, and cut out with a tag Nestie. I colored with my pencils and LOMS. Hope it makes you smile!

Thanks to all of you for stopping by! I hope that you have a wonderful day tomorrow! If you are in the US and celebrate Thanksgiving, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! If not, I wish you a beautiful day full of many blessings! I am thankful for family, good health, and all of you!

Hugs, Patti J.

Be Thankful...

Good morning!

As it is Sunday, it's time for another new challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ!

Today's hostess, our sweet design sister, Miesje, has chosen Psalm 107:1 for her scripture this week: "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever."

Miesje challenges us this week to create a card or project that shows your thankfulness to God. This was an easy challenge for me - I have so much to be thankful for, and the older I get, I find that it takes very little to make me smile, and to make me thank Him for His goodness.

Our challenge this week is sponsored by Serendipity Stamps. If you have never been to their store, please find a few minutes to check out their beautiful stamps.

My card features a Serendipity Stamps image that you can find here, and one of their gorgeous sentiments that you can see here. The image and sentiment were stamped with Versafine Brown Ink, and distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. The only coloring was done with a water based blender pen and distress ink. I wanted a 'barely there' color.

Please head over to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge Blog, and see what wonderful words and thoughts that Miesje has to share with us today. While you are there, you can check out the beautiful work of my very talented DT Sisters!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful Sunday, and a week full of Thanksgiving!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

What I did when I should have been cleaning...

Oh dear...it's the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and guess what I did today?

I played in my girl cave.
And I liked it!

lol...

This first project is actually one that I made when my friend Shirley came over to create with me a couple of weeks ago. We each provided a project, and this was hers. You can find the template in the resource tab at Splitcoast Stampers. This is just so much fun! These fancy file folders are from Office Max. One file folder, one Jr. legal pad, one RSVP pen, and Voila! I topped my left pocket off with chocolate...

I am entering this notebook at A Crafty Little Place, where the challenge is 'Alter It'.

Since I plan to use this as a Christmas to-do, holiday list book, I am also entering it at: Our Creative Corner. The challenge there is: 'Holiday 3-D Project'.

This next card was made for these challenges:

Incy Wincy Designs: Anything Musical

Basic Grey Challenges: #33 Wings (angel, Basic Grey Jovial DP)

ABC Challenge: H is for Holidays

Noel makes a darling gift card holder!

I'm entering this at:

All That Scraps: Gift Card Holder (must use a stamp that ATS carries in their store)

Next is some more of the new Basic Grey collection - isn't it gorgeous? I am entering this card here:

Just Us Girls Challenge: Color challenge - Yellow, Dark Red, Black, and White

One Stop Craft Challenges: #107 Snowpeople

Happily Grateful...Thankful am I

It's me again! Unbelievable!
Guess I am making up for next week's lost time!
DS is flying home (we hope) and for the few days he is home, I will be happily MIA!
I have a couple things to post. This first card is a Diamond Fold Card.
I found the pattern at Craft your Passion Challenges, and decided to give it a try!
Hope you like it!
I'm also entering this at:
Wee Memories: Dust off that Patterned Paper
The Shabby Tea Room: Thankful, Thanksgiving, Thank You, etc.
Creative Card Crew: Let's Give Thanks
For Fun Challenges: Be Thankful
Joan's Gardenss: Thanksgiving, Fallish, Green, Swirl on Vine, (on the DP)
Stamp Something: Thankful
Next up, I have a couple of little gift tags that I made to accompany two gifts that I needed to hand deliver yesterday. It seems that darling Emma is going to get a baby brother! Well, baby brother couldn't get a present from "Aunt Patti and Uncle Stan", without Emma getting something too! So, Emma is a "Miss Chatty", and this little cell phone seemed perfect for her. Of course, the elephant was perfect for the little guy! (We think he's going to be Jaxson, but we aren't sure yet...)
Both stamps are the TAC gift with purchase stamps - how much fun! I place and order and I get these fun stamps for nothing! Love it love it love it!!!
I am entering this blue tag at:

I'm pretty sure that this will be all you see from me tonight!

Have a good evening!

Patti J.

Happy Friday!

So, I tried to do a bit of grocery shopping yesterday around 11 a.m. YIKES! You would think that we were about to have a ginormous snowfall or something. People were EVERYwhere, and were not very cheerful! I picked up our turkey, and a few things on the ends of the aisles, and decided to go back tomorrow morning about 4:30 a.m. when DH leaves to drive to deer camp! Wish me luck...

I have a couple of cards for you today - gasp! Another post this week? lol...

This first card is a funny story. I saw this sketch by Mercy Kerin, and thought I'd give it a try. I've never had the courage to try one of Mercy's challenges before. She is a wonderfully talented gal, and to be quite honest, I've been a bit of a scaredy-cat! So...here I go - I put my big girl panties on and decided to go for it! I turned the sketch on it's side... I found the ca-utest new TAC stamps that I hadn't inked up yet, so I got them out and inked them up. On ivory cardstock... :) Here's where I have to laugh at myself. ALL of the coloring was complete. The card was totally ready for the image to be placed. I picked up my sponge, inked it up with antique linen, and lightly sponged around the edges, and it looked perfect! I decided to try a tad bit of Tea Dye around the most outside edge. I picked up my Tea Dye distress pad, took the top off of it, and DROPPED the pad, ink side down, right smack in the middle of the 'kids'. If you look, you can see a pretty pronounced line of ink. So.....I could either start over, or I could REALLY distress the heck out of this card! I chose the latter. So, Mercy, if you look at this card, please don't judge my entire 'book' by this ugly cover...lol!!! Oh...the sentiment is Hero Arts!

I will enter this card at:

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch - Sketch #100
CCEE Stampers: Use buttons

A Spoon Full of Sugar: #130, Distressing (tee hee!!!)

Frosted Designs: Distressing (tee hee tee hee!!!)

This next card is made with a beautiful stamp that I picked up on my trip to the craft store in Branson a few weeks ago. It's a Northwoods stamp - isn't it so beautiful?
I watercolored the image, used some glossy accents on the birds, bows, and red border (part of the stamp!). I used a 'snow pen' for the snow, sprinkled some diamond dust glitter, and heated it, and added dots of diamond dust around the outside. Someone can read the card, then hang it on their tree.
I am entering this card here:
If the Shoe Fits, Scrap It: Tickle me with Tinsel (Sparkle & Glitter!)
Christmas Card Challenges: Create a shaped card
One Stitch at a Time Challenge: Fave Colour (blue!)
Belli Challenge: Something Old, Something, New, Something Borrowed, or Blue (Blue!)
Paper Play Challenges: Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow
That's all I have for today.
I hope that you are enjoying your Friday,
and that you have a relaxing weekend ahead of you.
As always, I very much appreciate your stopping by!
Hugs and Smiles,
Patti J.

Already?

Okay, so I'm just wondering - how in the world did it get to be Wednesday already? Sheesh!

Hello to all, and Happy Wednesday! As it is Wednesday, it's time for another great challenge at Flutter by Wednesday's Challenge Blog!
These girls are SO much fun! I am very much enjoying my month with them!

Today I bring you a wonderfully fun sketch by our Danni, and an equally fun CAS card! I absolutely love these type of balanced sketches! It's Danni's first sketch, so be sure to drop by and leave her a few angel {{{hugs}}}!
Here is the awesome sketch:
And here is my take on it:
DCWV makes it SO easy to cutesy up a card with their coordinating matstacks! It was simply a matter of choosing two that I liked, coloring (Copics) the darling snow angel (Stampendous), sparkling it up a bit (Spica Pens) and doing a bit of matting.
Did I mention that I loved this sketch?
Hope to see you join in the challenge this week! You have your choice of an open challenge that includes an angel, butterfly, or fairy, or, you can use this wonderful sketch with your angel, butterfly, or fairy.
Have a great Wednesday!
Hugs,
Patti J.

ATC Swap...

Hello, and happy Monday!

Well, I've done a lot of card swaps over the years, but only one ATC swap a few years ago.

I was 'chatting' one day with my friend Melisa, and we thought it would be fun to do one 'sometime'. Well, 'sometime' is like having a $10 bill in your pocket, burning a hole through!

I couldn't get it off my mind, so I sent out a few e-mails, and found some fabulously talented ladies to play along! Shown below are their ATC's. I was thrilled with each one! If you get a chance, stop by their blogs, and give them a hug for a job well done!

This beautiful burgandy and green ATC was done by Olga Jewell. I love the sentiment, and talk about being given the Christmas spirit! Wowzers!

KellyRae Cooper made this wonderfully fun 'short note'. I have to tell you that this is so realistic that there are even little 'bumps' (created with a stylus) on the top!

This elegant creation on Kraft (my favorite, remember?) was made by Maria Matter. Maria is so good at CAS! She's my hero - that is the hardest of all for me!!! This makes me think of an beautiful piece of china.

Oh, the Places You'll Go, is the totally paper pieced, darling masterpiece of Chelsea Comer. Every piece is another layer, and the wheels are adorable little gemstones!

What a beautiful lady that Kim Sears sent. I just can't stop oohing and aahing over the many details - velvet ribbon, pearls, Shimmer misted handmade paper rose, etc...!

My best ever stampin' bud, Shirley, created this lovely background by sponging onto a Spellbinder's Impressionabilities (I think that's what they call them) on white cardstock with blue ink. Is this gorgeous or what?

Melisa Waldorf thrilled us all with this shimmery beauty! It's hard to see, but even the pink cardstock shimmers. I wish you could see it up close in real life!

Last, is my little dreamboat. Isn't she precious? Her little wings are popped up with dimensional dots, and she's thinking very hard about something! (Note the Kraft cardstock? lol...)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and look at our ATC's. We had a lot of fun. Everyone had their swaps to me on time (before due date actually!), and things went so smoothly, that I'm thinking of doing another swap of some sort (non-ATC) after the first of the year. If you think you might be interested, drop me an e-mail. I'll try to keep it easy peasy and fun!
Hugs to all!
Patti J.

Give Thanks

Two posts in one day - wowzers!
(Who am I, and what did they do with the real Pj?)

= = =

= = =

My card below is for the Sketch Challenge at Gina K.'s Stamp TV.
I used a beautiful stamp set by Rupa, which is one of my all time favorite
go-to stamps for the Thanksgiving season.

I've colored with my Copics (I'm really trying!), and distressed with Tim Holtz
Tea Dye Distress Ink.

Doodles around the oval were done with a brown Sharpie.

The sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'm off to see what you are doing today!

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Less...

Hello!
Happy Sunday!
Welcome to a new challenge at Stampin Sisters in Christ!
Grace, our talented and sweet design team sister, is our hostess this week.
Grace has chosen John 3:30 as her scripture:
"He must increase, but I must decrease".
Grace gives us a choice of challenges this week:
1. Make a CAS card, (representing "you" needing to decrease); or
2. Make a More is More card, (representing that He must INCREASE) or
3. Show us a simple version of a card and then show us the "More is More" version.
Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp. We appreciate their continued support!
Since a CAS card is such a huge challenge for me, that's what I chose to make.
You can find my Happy Thanksgiving sentiment at Simon Says Stamp, here.
The straight line was drawn with a brown Sharpie marker,
and all coloring was done with Copic markers.

Please head over to the Stampin' Sister's in Christ blog, to read Grace's thoughts
on today's scripture.
We look forward to seeing your beautiful creations!
Have a wonderful week,
Hugs and Blessings,
Patti J.

Red and Turquoise?

Red and Turquoise?
Ugh...

...yep, that's what I thought too!
This is the color challenge at Stamp TV this week.
After watching Gina's video...
...peeking in on what cards were already in the gallery
...checking out Gina's amazing design teams cards...
I decided I literally HAD to try this challenge! And I am SO happy I did! These colors are so wicked-cool together!!! Anyway, enough of the blah, blah, blah, this morning!

Here is my card:

(it's very dark and dreary here today, so the photo is dark and dreary too - sorry!)

All coloring is with copics, gold and frost stickles were added for a touch of yummy sparkle, and I stamped the poinsettia's twice, cutting out only some of the petals and curling their edges before adhering them with pop dots.

Hope these colors made YOU smile!

Have a great Saturday -
I was up cooking a hunter's breakfast before 4 a.m. today.
Now I'm off to check out our local craft fair, and then have 'busy' work, errands, and paperwork for DH while he's checking out the squirrels, birds, napping spots, etc., in the woods today!
I'm hoping to squeeze in a baby shower, so must run!!!

Hugs and blessings,

Patti J.

Flutter By...

Good morning! It's time for another challenge at Flutter By Wednesday! Danni has challenged us to create a window card, including, of course, an angel, butterfly, or fairy.

For my window card, I began with 2 pieces of cardstock. Each were 4.25" x 7", and were scored on each end at 1/2" and 1". I used a round Nestie on the cover, and a Nestie Blossom for the snowperson.

The snowperson, and the tree are both images by The Angel Company, and were colored with Copic markers (they still scare me half silly, but I've gotta learn somehow!) The snowflake and pearls were from my stash.

I look forward to seeing your fabulous window cards posted at Flutter By Wednesday! There are some resources on Splitcoast Stampers for different styles of window cards if you need a bit of inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great last half of the week! Shirley, my dear friend, is coming over today to have lunch and create! Should be a fun day!

Hugs,

Patti J.

Too Much Fun!

So...no card yet today - maybe in a little while!

However...thought I'd show you DH's new deer hunting necessity! We went riding today, and it was SO much fun! (Sorry Shirley - I just HAD to do it!!!)

Hope you are having a great week so far - I've almost got my house clean from traveling all summer, and can almost sit at my workspace to create without feeling guilty!

Hugs to all,
Patti J.

Oh Holy Night...

Good morning!

Welcome to a brand new challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ!

Randi Barrett is our wonderful hostess today. She has chosen the following scripture for this week's challenge:

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth, And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:10-11 (New American Standard Bible)

Be sure to head over to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ blog, and read Randi's wonderful thoughts on today's scripture.

Randi's challenge is to create a card or project that has some kind of weather displayed on it, such as rain, snow, ice, sunshine, wind... Anything that demonstrates weather.

Our sponsor this week is Heartfelt Creations. If you've never been to their store, you need to pour yourself a cup of coffee, and be prepared for a lot of oohing and aahing! You'll love what you find there!

My card today, features a beautiful image and sentimet from Heartfelt Creations. It's definitely a clean and simple card. I stamped, sponged with a bit of blue, and added some diamond dust glitter for sparke. The DP is some Debbie Mumm from my stash.

Hope you like it!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please dig out your weather stuff, and come on over to Stampin' Sisters in Christ. You could be our weekly winner!
Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

Well, I'm not sure anymore what normal is, exactly!

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that the camper has been parked for the winter. DH will be traveling to work solo for the next few months, so I should be getting back to normal with my blurfing.

Thanks for being so patient and understanding!

Cya soon!!!

Flutterby Wednesday's....and me!

What an exciting day!

I was invited to be a Guest Designer at Flutter By Wednesday for the month of November, and I said yes!

Thanks so much, ladies, for inviting me to participate with your amazingly talented group.

This week, the challenge at Flutter By Wednesday is being sponsored by In Style Stamps. The sweet image that I have used, Ava, is an In Style Stamp image.
Ava is in the process of hanging up her summer wings, and has put on her winter wings. Isn't she precious? (Her winter wings are silver, but they look gray in the photo, sorry!)

This week's challenge is an open challenge, but don't forget to include an angel, fairy, or butterfly on your project!

Supplies: Image by In Style Stamps, DP is DCWV, Trim and Bling from my stash, CS is Bazzill, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch, Dienamics Scallop Punch, all coloring done with colored pencils and loms, Copic Spica Pens for dress, angel wings, and shoes.

That's all I have for today. I hope that you have a great Wednesday, and don't forget to enter your project at Flutter By Wednesday Challenge!
Hugs,
Patti J.
